Flexible and Open learning
Our distance learning course supports those who wish to attain their qualification but find it difficult to attend the education centre for whatever reason. We support people who:
- Work unsociable/flexible or shift patterned hours
- Struggle with transport issues or childcare
- Find it difficult to travel due to health issues
- Want to be home-schooled but still wish to obtain their core GCSEs
Therefore, we have designed our specialist GCSE courses to be delivered via our distance learning platform.
Unlike other distance learning courses, you will have access to 1-2-1 private tuition via Skype or telephone. You can attend group online GCSE classes plus you will have links to our student support network and have access to a range of multi-media platforms to help you complete your GCSE.
Special Requirements:
- You can start a GCSE home study course at any time but you can only sit your examination in an appropriate examination window. Examination windows are in Nov and June.
- Age restrictions apply for November examination entries (The candidate must be 16 on or by the 31st of August).
- We will book your examination for you. However, you will need to make your own travel arrangements to attend the Carlisle test centre.
