Duration:  Approx 32 Weeks

Cost: Year 10 including award assessments  (1.5 hrs a week) £1,750

Course Content

UAS allows all students to engage with learning and have their achievements formally recognised. There are thousands of unit awards based around pathways to AQA qualifications of student’s specialist interests; here are a few examples of a UAS:

  • 115247 MAKE UP: SPECIAL EFFECTS
  • 82003 DESIGNING AND MAKING A MODEL
  • 98476 ART PENCIL DRAWING

 

Method of Study

You will attend class each week - where you will work alone or collaboratively with your fellow students and tutor, in which you will engage in stimulating discussions and classroom-based exercises to support your development and learning.  

Method of Assessment

Students are rewarded with a certificate each time they successfully complete a unit of learning. They can build up a portfolio of certificates to evidence their skills, knowledge and experience.

The scheme boosts confidence, increases engagement and improves motivation, helping students to make progress on their lifelong learning journey.

What Can I Do Next?

Attaining these awards will allow you to progress onto Functional Skills and GCSE Courses. They are also stand-alone awards that recognises achievement in areas of study not available in GCSEs.
